Hostilities in Gaza have been raging for a year, during which over 42,600 people have been killed and almost 100,000 injured across the Gaza Strip. Scores of
Israeli hostages remain held, while the entire Gaza population faces the risk of famine.
NRC is responding, mainly at collective shelters, with activities expanding into northern Gaza.
“The complete destruction I have witnessed this week in Gaza City and other urban areas of northern and central Gaza is worse than anything I could imagine as a long-time aid worker,” said Egeland.
