Faride López (52) supports her four grandchildren alone: Harold, aged 14, and sisters Yusnaidy (12), Yusleidy (10) and Yulianni (4). The children lost their father at a very young age. They have not heard from their mother for a long time and the family is very concerned for her safety. She left Venezuela in 2020, looking for safety, protection and more opportunities for her family.

- She left her children with me. I will take care of them, while I struggle from day to day," says Faride.

The small family is living in difficult conditions, and Faride has sold everything she owns to put food on the table for her grandchildren. Despite their short lives, Faride's grandchildren have experienced a lot of pain. Now she wants to focus on the future and do everything she can to make their lives as good as possible.

- "I hope we can repair our house. When it rains, the roof leaks and we have to move into a corner, “says Faride.
