“If we knew where there are no armed groups, we would go to that place. We live in the midst of war. We want to live, live without problems, live in a community where there is no war, where there is no violence”: Cecil, a teacher at the indigenous community's school, who has worked to maintain education and culture through his teachings.
His community has been forced by non-state armed groups to remain in their homes without being able to access food, water, education or health for days and months as a war strategy.
The indigenous community participates actively in the construction of the temporary classrooms that NRC is building in their territory.
Cecil, beyond his teaching work, promotes the preservation of the well-being of theirs. One of his biggest dream is: “We want to live, live without problems. We want to live in a community where there is no war, where there is no violence
